Alina Baraz Moongate Experience
I worked as the art director of an experiential activation for Alina Baraz's "Moongate" EP. This experience was designed to promote the EP and provide the fans with a multi-sensory immersion into Alina's world. It began with the placement of multiple handwritten notes from Alina framed in beautiful glass encasings installed around LA. Fans had to find these encasings in order to get the initial invite to the pop-up (creating a mysterious and exclusive aesthetic around the event). The pop-up consisted of multiple interactive rooms that showcased a visual representation of the project. Our team built out a sensory listening room for the event that was projection mapped and played a full visual experience of the EP that ignited all of your senses. We built out a ‘Secret Garden’ themed room with beautiful water and plant instillations to bring fans into Alina’s dreamy world. The fans who were lucky enough to score an invite to this exclusive event were blown away by the experience, and Alina’s EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes r&b chart.
ilo ilo - LA SCAVENGER HUNT
This campaign was built to promote ilo ilo’s debut EP “i wish i said this to u sooner” with Atlantic Records. It began with the construction of large handmade ilo ilo logo sculptures that were placed around Los Angeles to hype the release of the project. My team partnered with a handful of publications to promote the illusive sculptures popping up around LA and build hype for the project.
From there, my team and I put together an elaborate 3 day scavenger hunt that took a fan named Jason from Denver and multiple influencers, brands and labels (Lollapalooza, Atlantic Records, Donslens etc..) all over the city eventually leading them to an interactive art party in DTLA. I worked with Atlantic Records over 3 months to curate the scavenger hunt and design the interactive art party for the EP. The campaign was a massive success and went viral on instagram. Jason documented his journey on his instagram story and we had over 100k people watching live through his small account as the adventure unraveled.

This campaign was built to promote ilo ilo’s new single “Be Cool” and the launch of their Dream Tapes EP. I built and designed 25 web pages that led fans down a rabbit hole of different riddles, games and challenges in order to reach the end. I hand built a custom Moto Razr sculpture and designed 1/1 merch pieces that were awarded to the first 20 users to solve the puzzle. Fans were overwhelmed with excitement trying to solve the puzzle first. This campaign created a really special experience for ilo ilo’s fans.
